Minor • Week 4 Plan
This week I plan to finish off my Chubby squid model.
The new model already looks a lot better than the older version, there's more detail in the face an the eyes actually sit inside the head, though the never version needs some smoothing and additions as it appears a little bumpy in some locations.
But the mouth itself without the inside yet looks good to me, the corners may need a little adjustment though.
I want the modelling done on Wednesday, so rigging can be spent till the Friday or at a push done by Monday.
I will also need to do some tentacle rigging practice.
Something that could go iffy is Maya may not allow me to paint weights, I've had this happen in the past as it continuously crashed whilst trying to paint weights for shoulders on previous models.
This is solvable by making the rig basis in blender and painting weights there and bringing the file back into Maya to add controls and IKs.
