Film Review • King Kong (1933)

Image result for King Kong (1933)King Kong (1933) produced by Merian C. Cooper & Ernest B, another slow film compared to that of nowadays.
Some scenes feel like they last forever, the stop motion was good but compared to todays blockbuster is a laughable feat.
A noticeable difference between this King Kong and any film from the recent era of mixed media film, Claymation has not interacted with a character as much as this film did.

This film compared to the last two was a ‘talkie’ there were words but the audio captured was off, the voices either had such an accent or had been tainted by time that words were unclear.
It was hard to follow along the plot even with knowing that the main plot is from recent renditions of the film.
This film was the kickstart to many tropes that are commonplace now, original soundtrack and a powerful antagonist to point out two. Although the loverboy doing anything to save his misses also appears but seems to have been in films for a while before this as you can see it in Fritz Lang’s Metropolis (1927) and even a little in The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920) Robert Wiene
